Hot Chocolate Grog

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Chai tea bag
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Hot Chocolate (recipe follows)
  • 1/4 cup Spanish brandy , such as Senor Lustau 1940 Solera
  • 2 tablespoons orange liqueur , such as Mandarine Napoleon
  • Prepared whipped topping
  • Garnish: toasted marshmallows*

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, steep Chai tea bag in sweetened condensed milk over low heat. Let simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • In another saucepan, heat Hot Chocolate over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture is heated through.
  • Divide brandy and orange liqueur between 2 serving mugs. Add half Hot Chocolate and half Chai milk mixture to each mug, stirring to combine. Top with whipped topping, and garnish with a toasted marshmallow, if desired

Notes

*Place marshmallows on a long skewer. Carefully toast marshmallows using a pastry torch, or place under oven broiler for a few seconds until lightly toasted.
